FACT Qatar held their inaugural Dining Awards on Monday evening, at the Doha Marriott Hotel, welcoming over 250 guests and VIPS. The magazine’s editorial team organised a fantastic campaign in partnership with Qatar Living.com.
Together they succeeded in garnering over 40,000 votes as the public voted for their ‘Favourite’ Restaurant across 28 categories covering over 150 shortlisted venues. There was also a ‘Best’ Restaurant award as decided by F&B experts and Qatar food bloggers.
Edward Smith, Publishing Director of FACT M.E. Publishing, recognised the success of the campaign: ‘We’re thrilled to have hosted the FACT Dining Awards for the first time in Qatar this year…with thousands of votes received and counted, and the best venues in Doha recognised for the excellent service they offer. It has been a pleasure to invite all the nominated venues to enjoy an evening of entertainment with us, and to recognise the excellent job that they do.’
Best Restaurant Award went to Hakkasan at The St. Regis Doha whilst the Favourite Restaurant Award went to Spice Market at the W Doha Hotel.
We at Qatar Eating would like to congratulate all the winners and the shortlisted venues. We would also like to recognise the hard work and efforts of all the staff who work to make these venues the best, both in-front and behind-the-scenes. Well done everyone!
