It’s almost time for the biggest foodie event in the Qatar Events calendar – the 8th edition of the Qatar International Food Festival مهرجان قطر الدولي للأغذية
It will held between 29th March – 8th April at the Hotel Park near Sheraton.
Qatar’s annual homage to international and local cuisines is scheduled from 29th March to 8th April 2017. We look forward to the usual attractions – expect our annual Qatar Eating feature with more information closer to the start of QIFF 2017.

Get ready for #QIFF2017
This year Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) will be stepping things up with new additions and focused projects. One new initiative will encourage restaurateurs to get involved with QIFF MENUS, which would allow F&B venues to offer special QIFF set menus at their own restaurants. This would take the food festival to the next level by encouraging festival attendees to travel further afield and discover new restaurants, or enjoy old favourites, at a reasonable price.
A series of Chef’s Table events will also be held at select five-star hotel restaurants, giving residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy special live cooking and dining experiences with internationally-acclaimed chefs. The events will offer diners exclusive access to their favourite renowned chef, giving them rare glimpses into their cooking rituals and a seat on the dish’s journey from raw ingredients to decorated plates.
QIFF MENUS
Participating restaurants and cafes will be offering a special QIFF Menu from 23 March until 8 April, featuring flavourful dishes at discounted prices. It is expected that participating restaurants will be able to choose up to 4 special set menus as part of the QIFF MENU project. There will be four price points for the set menus: QAR 59; QAR 99; QAR 139; and QAR 179. This range provides the potential for some interesting restaurant menus for QIFF visitors to enjoy whilst dining in and around Doha.
Qatar Tourism Authority is expected to provide general marketing and branding for the menu concept. However, the participating venues will be responsible for their own costs and direct marketing to their customers, and will also have to maintain the QIFF branding.
