The QTA, in conjunction with Qatar Airways, have arranged a variety of transport options in order to reduce traffic and parking congestion at QIFF 2016 venue locations. There are a range of options including a new water taxi service, and free bus shuttle services. You can find all the details below.

As usual the organisers are requesting visitors to park at Old Airport Parking Area facing Doha Marriott Hotel, and then take either the free bus service or the other car services (prices below) in order to get to MIA Park.
QIFF 2016 – Parking
There is limited parking available at MIA Park and will be made available only to cars carrying more than 3 persons. There is also a parking basement at Souq Waqif that visitors can use, and then you can cross over the road and come in through MIA Park entrance.
QIFF 2016 – Water Shuttle Taxi
The water shuttle service from MIA Park to Katara or The Pearl-Qatar will be ticketed at QR25, and will run every half hour. Arrangements have been made for a free bus service at 1 La Croisette The Pearl-Qatar, from where water-shuttle users can take a bus to Qanat Quartier.
The schedule for the water taxis for #QIFF2016 runs from 4.00 to 9.00pm. See the detailed image below for full timings. No boats at 8.00pm due to fireworks. Tickets cost QR25pp each way. Age restrictions apply. Update: Age restrictions are very loosely enforced. Young children are allowed on with parents; and it is advisable that you keep them close as there are no seatbelts and the waves can get choppy. Don’t stand and be sure to use the life vests provided.
Please note that the Festival is a popular event in the Qatar events calendar and as such parking and traffic congestion is always an issue, particularly in the evening. So please be safe, polite and plan ahead!

FREE Bus Shuttle Service (two-way trip)
From: Old Airport Arrivals Terminal Car Park
To: MIA Park
Time: Every day from 1:00 pm – 10:30 pm, except on 22nd March when it will be from 5:00-10:30 pm
Price: FREE
TICKETED Water Taxis (2 Routes)
Tickets are limited and available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Water taxi services will stop during the daily fireworks display at 8:30 pm for safety reasons.
Route One: MIA Park to Katara – Katara to MIA Park
Frequency: Every half hour. First boat departs 4:00 pm, last boat departs 9:15pm.
Price: QAR 25 per person
Route Two: MIA Park to The Pearl-Qatar – The Pearl-Qatar to MIA Park
Please note that water taxis will dock at La Croisette. A free shuttle bus will be available to transport visitors to the Festival venue in Qanat Quartier.

Parking at MIA Park
There will be allocated parking for disabled pass holders to guarantee parking near the main entrance.
Due to limited parking spaces at MIA Park, Festival visitors are encouraged to park at Old Airport Parking Area facing Doha Marriott Hotel and take advantage of the free bus shuttle service and discounted Limo and Uber services departing from there.
Parking for personal cars at the MIA Park will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis only to cars carrying 3 or more people.
Limited valet parking will be available at a rate of QAR 40 for the first 3 hours, and 10 QAR for each additional hour.
