Biryani Festival! Yes, you heard right!
Next month sees the launch of Doha’s first ever Biryani Food Festival. It is organised by Four and One, and will be held at Hotel Park. This venue is fast becoming Qatar’s go-to location for food festivals.
Usually the Qatar Events season sees only the annual Qatar International Food Festival. The food festival is widely regarded as one of the best events of the season, and was moved to Hotel Park for the first time last year. Now we have several food festivals on the events calendar including last year’s Doha’s Burger Festival, and this month’s Chocolate, Tea & Coffee Festival. With the addition of the Biryani Festival we can only say, get ready to be stuffed!
You can expect popular restaurants and local food stalls to be showcasing their unique take on the Biryani. We expect an interesting mix of Indian and Qatari flavours!
UPDATE: Approximately 45 exhibitors will be showcasing, and there will be around 100 varieties of biryani with veg and non-veg options available. Visitors can expect to have the option of purchasing anything from Lucknow gosht, and Kashmiri vegetable, to traditional Afghani and Irani biryani.
The event will also feature Biryani competitions, games and a kid’s play zone.
The Chicken and Meat Biryani competition are scheduled for Feb 7th, whilst the Seafood and Vegetable Biryani competition will be on Feb 8th.
