Darb Al Saai will be hosting some amazing celebrations for Qatar National Day 2017!

It’s going to be a special Qatar National Day with government bodies, public companies and brands all showcasing their national pride. As usual there will be the morning Corniche parade on the 18th December, and fireworks are expected in the evening (more details on that another time!)

This year there is an added push to welcome all to the Darb Al Saai tent in Al Saad, where national celebrations run from Saturday 9th December (see schedule below).

There is a special initiative to represent friendship entitled “Masirat Al Sadaqah”. This will showcase the solidarity between Qataris and expats, and it is expected that expats will take part in the Darb Al Saai activities.

There will be plenty of family-orientated activities such as pony rides, and different activations across the represented organisations including Al Shaqab, Qatar Foundation and Civivl Defence. And of course lots of food available to buy including traditional local dishes, and hot karak!

WHEN: 9th – 20th December 2017

TIMINGS: On Saturday 9th December the event will open from 4:00pm and is open to the public. This is the day the flag is raised officially.

All other days the timings are as follows: Morning Session: 8:00am-12:00pm noon  Evening Session: 4:00pm-10:00pm.

HOWEVER please see the Darb Al Saai schedule to see which days the grounds are open to the general public. Please note that on family days no single bachelors will be allowed entry. And on ladies day no males are allowed entry.
