Savour Arabian Nights at Four Seasons Ramadan Tent

It’s a regal experience at the Four Seasons Hotel Doha with an Arabian Nights Ramadan Tent.

You can find the Tent located in the Al Mirqab ballroom, where the designers have been hard at work to create a lasting impression. The deep blue and rich gold colour palette brings a sense of splendour, and the decorative arabesque fretwork particularly stands out.

There is plenty of varied seating for different party sizes, and private seating is also available. Supervised family activities have also been arranged with Joué Club Qatar and Fnac, and can be found at the entrance to the Tent. They have crafts and toys for the smaller children, whilst the older ones have access to games and books – so plenty to keep them busy after their meal.

Ramadan Tent

The Ramadan Menu is vast with a variety of Middle Eastern and International cuisines on offer amongst 25 buffet and live cooking stations. This includes two epic desserts mega-structures and a delectable Valrhona Chocolate Shawarma (more on that later!).

As it is Ramadan there are plenty of traditional dishes on the buffet menu such as the comforting Qatari Thareed, or the mouth-watering Lamb Ouzi. We bumped into their Arabic sous chef Adnan Almasri; who was as welcoming as ever, who we recently interviewed for our special Ramadan Chef Interview that we featured recently. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon learning about the some of the secrets behind Ramadan preparations in the hospitality world. We also had fun learning how to cook the Syrian speciality Shish Barak!

The Four Seasons Ramadan Tent has a rotating menu to keep regular guests happy. There are plenty of International options to be found in the Iftar buffet, including seafood starters, cold and hot mezze, dimsum, pasta, sushi, roasted meats, and of course the desserts.

The staff at the Four Seasons were friendly and happy to explain dishes, which is perfect for anyone curious about what’s on the menu. With such a varied global menu think it will be impossible for you not to find something you haven’t tried before!

The dimsum stand was a particular draw, with translucent Har Gow and steaming lamb and vegetable buns. These dumplings, and the Pad Thai Salad, had us coming back for seconds (and thirds!).

What we really enjoyed about the food stands was the different decorative elements that provided a contrast of cultures. The Mexican stand with its embroidered fabrics, and the dimsum cart with its bright red chinese lanterns. The Qatari food station has a Fanar model replica, and showcases dishes such as Thareed, Harees, and Jarish.

Other stand outs included the crunchy vegetable tempura; the biryani which we slathered in makhani daal; and the Mexican guacamole and chips. Before moving onto desserts we enjoyed the flavourful Fish Sayadia with its caramelised onions.

Desserts at any Ramadan Tent buffet showcases the best of sweet treats and Four Seasons (the home of the Dessert-Atrium) has certainly delivered. There are two dessert stations inside the Ramadan Tent which feature regional and international desserts and includes two chocolate fountains.

The tempting Ramadan desserts displays include some of our favourites: from sticky luqaimat and balah el sham, to traditional kanafeh and umm ali. It can be overwhelming if you have little experience of the variety of Middle Eastern desserts, but you cannot miss trying the Atayef, soft pancakes stuffed with cream and nuts.

The second desserts station is a homage to all things continental, with some stand out chocolate creations: the raspberry decadence cake had an excellent fruity contrast to the rich dark chocolate. There is an unassuming Trio Chocolate Mousse that all chocolate lovers must try – velvety soft and smooth.

 

But, if there is one thing you absolutely must try from the buffet it is the Chocolate Shawarma. Think melting Valrhona chocolate layered onto a soft crepe – oozing chocolatey deliciousness that would draw you back to the Four Seasons Ramadan Tent again and again!

 

How To Book the Four Seasons Hotel Doha Ramadan Tent: 

Iftar buffet is served daily from 6:00pm to 8:30 pm. Priced at QAR 235 per person.

Sohour Buffet is available from 10:00pm until 1:30am. Priced at QAR 270 per person.
