It’s been a hectic summer for Qatar’s hospitality industry with a plethora of new openings.

If you’re the type of person who likes to keep up to date then this is the perfect list of the all the latest restaurants in Qatar. This feature includes summer restaurant and cafe openings to help you catch up with all the new openings.

A variety of new restaurants, cafes and food venues have opened up throughout Doha. New branches of popular eateries have also opened up across Doha, particularly at Qatar’s luxury Al Hazm Mall, and the expansive Doha Festival City.

Horatii Tiramisu Lounge

Think excellence in coffee and desserts within the luxurious setting of Al Hazm Mall. It’s not just desserts, as there are plenty of colourful main dishes such as the Wagyu Burger. Guylian Cafe

It’s a surprisingly extensive menu at Guylian Cafe which offers a diverse range of menu items to suit breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Set in the luxurious surroundings of Al Hazm Mall you can expect an experience to match the venue.

All we want to say is that if you’re going to a specialist belgian chocolate cafe then you really should try the chocolate desserts!

This casual dining restaurant has aspirations to offer global flavours in the style of American diner food. This has resulted in an immense menu with salads, sandwiches, pasta, burgers, pizzas and more. The burgers and milkshakes stand out and are complimented by excellent service.

Al Manchab

There’s something a little special about Al Manchab which presents itself as a Modern-Qatari restaurant. Located in Doha’s most extravagant Mall the menu is designed to appeal to diners looking for traditional flavours with a modern interpretation.

They offer Qatari specialities including Majboos, Balaleet, and Mahalabia. A few twists on the menu include the Chicken Pafki Salad which features the infamous Qatar Pakfi crisps!

Sumo, Sushi & Bento

Think sushi and your every desire will be accommodated from sushi rolls and sushi sandwiches, to poke bowls and bento boxes. There are plenty of options for vegetarians including veggie ramen, curry and various rolls. Kids meals are available, but the desserts section is limited to green tea tiramisu.

Grk Fresh Greek

With so few greek restaurants in Qatar the opening of Grk Fresh Greek brings more meatballs, souvlaki, and gyros to the Doha food scene. There is plenty to get your teeth stuck into at reasonable prices.

Think contemporary with a Morrocan twist – menu items are plated up in bright tagines and beautiful crockery. You’re in for a treat with great hospitality from the staff in an elegant setting.

Aryaas Express

With branches across Qatar this is the place to visit for strictly vegetarian Indian food. The dosas are on point and prices are great. This branch is the express version for your takeaway needs; for a sit down meal visit one of the bigger branches in Doha.

800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria

For a thin and chewy base this pizzeria has the right recipe for the traditionalists amongst us (there is a thin base available at extra costs). There are some delicious starters such as the Carpaccio and the Burrata but watch out for the slightly high prices. If you follow a gluten-free diet than you can make your perfect pizza here.

Al-Majles Diyafa Restaurant

The latest Medina Centrale opening features Qatari cuisine in a homage to the flavours and colours of Qatar. The best thing is that they offer their own pervasion of Afternoon Tea with Fwala menu options!

L’ETO Caffe

When visiting this cafe you will be surprised by the colourful salad bar and tempting dessert display. Their speciality is Eastern European cuisine, and though prices are high (they charge for bread) it is a great place for a catch up as the balmy evenings arrive.

With a focus on using natural and fresh ingredients the brand emphasis is on flavour and visuals.

If you visit the cafe you can also order a cake-to-go (24 hours notice required).

Life With Cacao

This dessert restaurant is already a hugely popular venue in Kuwait where they produce signature chocolate desserts made with high-quality ingredients. And should you be able to take your eyes off their signature specials, they also offer breakfast, salads and sandwiches.

Their icecream popsicle fondue makes all other fondues pale in comparison. But it’s all about the S’Mores fondue for those of you who don’t mind a little bit of dessert DIY. Return visits are recommended especially if you like the look of the hot brownie skillet!

Five Guys

An opening that’s been eagerly anticipated by burger lovers across Qatar. Offering beef burgers with your choice of toppings, and hotdogs. They also have some vegetarian sandwiches. Their fries are cooked in peanut oil so avoid if you have a nut allergy. Their creamy milkshakes are perfect for sharing.

Market Cafe

An innovative new cafe located opposite city centre mall – it’s a little tricky to find but well worth the effort if you like tasting home-cooked food items and baked goods. The cafe rents out fridge and shelve units to individuals who want to sell their products in the cafe.

The cafe also sells coffee beverages including spanish latte and frappucinos. It’s your choice if you want to eat in or takeaway the items.

Awani

This contemporary restaurant serves classical Levantine dishes with a twist! Expect delicious flavours from their cold and hot mezze and their grill items. There are interesting flavours throughout the menu – don’t miss the pomelo salad, and their tabbouleh.

InterContinental Doha’s newest restaurant concept looks to the streets of Beirut for inspiration. Executive Chef Talal Arid has put together a menu highlighting the best of Lebanese cuisine with hot and cold mezzeh, kebbeh, grilled meats and more. Plenty of beverages on offer too.

When the Shangri-La changed up Yabby into Santorini there was a lot of interest from the foodie community. Opening shortly before Ramadan the new taverna-style eatery is all Mediterranean flavours with Greek flair courtesy of Executive Chef Georgios Papadopoulos.

The Yellow Chilli is the popular Indian restaurant from the mind of Chef Sanjeev Kapoor. Located in Porto Arabia it has been open for quite some time. This burger joint in Old Airport is located in the Holiday Inn hotel and offers plenty of starters, appetisers, and speciality burgers. Watch out for the insane burger!

The venue has been created as a haven for sports fans, with screens and comfortable seating. If you’ve been wondering where to watch the FIFA qualifying matches and all other sports matches then this is an option.

Le Pain Quotidien – NOW OPEN!

Yaaasss – another quiet new opening but one we have had our eye on for a while. Although LPQ’s first restaurant has been open at the food court in Mall of Qatar for a few months, we prefer this location for its quieter setting. Breakfast, lunch or dinner – we are happy with any option when it comes to LPQ!
