So you want to take a cooking class in Doha?

IDAM, MIA

Let’s kick off this feature with one of the best restaurants in town. IDAM is offering a multitude of cooking demonstrations for guests this Autumn season.

Cooking classes start from 2:00pm until 5:00pm – classes are three hours long. Attendees will be able to eat the dishes prepared, and will also receive a booklet, apron, and recipe information.

Nobu, Four Seasons Hotel Doha

Learn the art of Nobu sushi from his hand-picked sushi chefs at Nobu Doha. The Chefs will teach you everything you need to know about making sushi including rice preparation, ingredient selection and how to prepare different types of sushi.

Sushi classes run every first Saturday of the month from 11:00am until 2:00pm.

The Ritz-Carlton Doha

The Ritz-Carlton have a Culinary Academy at La Dolce Vita, with an open kitchen studio where guests can get to grips with a variety of techniques. Guests can also arrange private cooking classes for adults and children.

Fees for multiple classes have to be paid on enrolment, and classes are scheduled for every Saturday starting at 10:00am. Classes must be reserved in advance.

The current class schedule is as follows:

Price: 1 class at QAR 200 per person; 3 classes at QAR 570 per person; 5 classes at QAR 900 per person.

Teatro, City Centre Rotana

It’s all about the sushi at Teatro on Wednesday 4th October 2017 as the chefs teach guests how to make sushi. During a two hour class guests will learn how to prepare sushi rice and the rolling techniques for sushi.

Guests will also be able to eat their sushi once done, with two beverages provided. The class starts at 6:30pm, and is open to a maximum of 20 attendees. Advance reservation required.

Evergreen Organics, The Pearl-Qatar

Something a little interesting at Qatar’s first (and only) 100% Vegan cafe. Chef Matt of Evergreen Organics will be holding a sustainable cooking workshop. The focus is on reducing food waste from the first step of shopping all the way to when food reaches your plate! The class will also introduce how you can utilise the whole part of plants. (Food samples will be offered)
