We are excited to tell you that this year’s edition is set to be the BIGGEST yet, with 130 participants – an increase of over 45% from QIFF 2015. The QTA has suggested visitor numbers will reach 220,000 this year with an expected increase of 22% from last year. For all the transport and parking arrangements check out QIFF 2016 – Transport Options.

The seven day food festival begins on 22nd March. QIFF 2016 is an opportunity for brands to introduce their services and products to the public with instant feedback. This has encouraged many first-time exhibitors, and new food concepts, to step into the field in order to market their brand and showcase their foodie offerings.

There will also be a Beach Court at The Pearl-Qatar showcasing regional and local Food Trucks. A Foodie Court will be held at Katara and will include a mini live cooking theatre.

Public parking will not available at MIA Park, instead a range of transport services will be on offer including a shuttle bus. QIFF 2016 will be in three venues this year and so there will be a unique water shuttle service on offer.

QIFF 2016 – The Food

The good news for visitors to QIFF 2016 is the increased culinary offerings, including local eateries and mid-range restaurants. Hotels will also be exhibiting at the Qatar Food Festival with gourmet offerings – see our QIFF 2016 – The Hotels Feature to find out who will be there.

Prices have been capped by the QTA to reasonable prices so that food offerings are affordable. This also encourages participating F&B brands to be innovative in providing a product reflecting their food concept and ethos whilst still meeting the pricing cap. However the additional activities such as the Dinner in the Sky and High Tea will have their own pricings.
