Magical Ramadan Nights at Sharq Village & Spa

Sharq Village & Spa has chosen the theme of the ‘magic of the orient’ with its Sihr Al Sharq Ramadan Tent. The Al Dasha and Al Sonbok Ballrooms have been transformed with a blue/red colour scheme with hints of gold. White wooden chairs provide an elegant contrast, with plenty of seating for large and smaller groups.

Often diners and visitors make the mistake of overlooking venues located outside of the Westbay area, but this luxury hotel is not to be missed. If you’re looking for a hospitable and welcoming Ramadan Tent, with delicious and interesting food offerings then this is the one for you!

Sharq Village & Spa Ramadan Tent

The Buffet food stations are located in the antechamber outside of the Ramadan Tent, and provide an array of dishes with a regional focus. There are also several live cooking stations serving up sushi, pasta, noodles, saj, shawarma, and crepes for dessert.

Their Iftar Buffet has a greater focus on regional cuisine than other Ramadan Tents, but you will find enough variety to keep it fresh. Their Baba Ganoush and Tabbouleh were excellent! The high quality of the ingredients used reflects the values of the Sharq Village & Spa – they’ve put thought and effort into providing different cuisines with the taste to match.

You’re going to find interesting salads such as watermelon & feta; paneer tikka; and beetroot & orange. But you will also be introduced to local and regional dishes that you may not have tried before such as loubia bil zeit.

The main dishes include a fragrant vegetable biryani (with broccoli!) and some excellent roasted meats at the carving station – the lamb is spectacular and not to be missed!

For desserts there is plenty of variety with Qatari, Middle Eastern, Turkish and Continental options. The Kunafa and Umm Ali are beautifully displayed, whilst the display of Turkish delights invites you to take a bite.

The Sharq Village & Spa has one of the most beautiful presentations of Mahalabia that you can find anywhere in Qatar. It’s also the first Tent where we found sweet and sticky Indian Jallebi. The stand out dessert has to be the mille-feuille with its intricate decoration and crisp layers of buttery pastry – high fives to the pastry chef for that marvellous creation!
