Doha Festival City is in the last stages of preparation for its official opening on 5th April 2017. Offering a mix of retail, dining and entertainment it will be the latest Mall to open to great fanfare since last year’s Mall of Qatar opening.
Doha Festival City will be bringing several new retail brands to Qatar for the first time, including Harvey Nichols, Kiehl’s, JCrew, LEGO Store, and Muji. The Mall is also expected to feature Smart Technology, such as digital wayfinders and smart parking, which will enhance the visitor experience.
Entertainment includes family offerings such as the play facility Caboodle; theme park Angry Birds World; and the unique Juniverse which will showcase role-playing children’s activities based in space.
Virtuocity provides video gaming and escape rooms for teens and adults, whilst Snow Dunes will feature cutting-edge technology that makes snow! The theme parks are expected to open later on the year.
There will also be an 18-screen VOX cinema which will feature THEATRE by Rhodes. The concept offers fine dining with your movie, and the menu has been curated by British Michelin Star celebrity chef Gary Rhodes. Update: Vox Cinemas is now open and so is the THEATRE by Rhodes experience.
Doha Festival City is located in the north of Doha near IKEA, and accessible from Al Shamal Road.

Over 100 F&B outlets are eventually expected to open, and it will also be home to the world’s largest Monoprix Hypermarket. Update: Monoprix is now open at Doha Festival City!
We’ve been told to expect over 35,000 products within 7,000 sqm, which will include a French bakery, a waffle house, and a ‘Cave à Fromage’ featuring international cheeses. You can expect the Qatar Eating team to be lost amongst the aisles for hours on end as we inhale all that French goodness!

A variety of dine-in restaurants, fast food options, and dessert spots are expected to eventually open – this includes brands that will be new to Qatar. A few of the eateries we are looking forward to include: Bouchon Bakery, 800 Degrees Pizza, Texas De Brazil, Katsyua, Dean & Deluca, Café Coco, Hummingbird Bakery, Le Pain Quotidien, and La Maison du Chocolat.
Five Guys, Jamie’s Italian, and Grom ice cream are also expected to open! UPDATE: The Cheesecake Factory, Five Guys, GRK Fresh Greek, and Le Pain Quotidien restaurants are also now open!
(Please note all the outlets are not expected to open on the first day of Mall operations. Expect updates and more details as timings, opening hours and more get confirmed closer to the opening date.)
